Babies as wonders of language - Children's lecture

Babies are the best learning machines that exist. Even before they are born they pick up all sorts of characteristics of their mother tongue. And after birth this continues at an amazing speed. Before you know it, they’re bending your ears about anything and everything. But how do they do that?

Scientists are discovering more and more about what babies already know about language and how they learn it. In this children’s lecture Professor Paula Fikkert will show you the most important moments in a child’s language development. She will also fill you in on the most striking new findings in this research area. Learn more and be prepared to be surprised!
