Crash course Swedish

You probably speak a little Swedish already. Words like hotell, moped, lingonberry and smorgasbord all have Swedish origins. At first glance, Swedish doesn’t seem all that difficult. It isn’t even that hard to learn, but don’t be fooled! Not everything is as simple as it looks: ‘Springa’, for example, isn’t one of the seasons, it means to run. Would you like to learn more? Ms. Els Ekvall from Radboud in’to Languages will teach you some useful Swedish words and phrases. She’ll also tell you some fun facts about Sweden and the people who live there. Did you know, for example, that Pippi Longstocking is actually from Sweden and that they have reindeer in Sweden?
